Do you believe in God?

Posted on Sep 8th, 2008 by Lene : Ichinen Lene
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 28, 2007:

Hell,yes!
Or, no, of course not! No hell, and no heaven. Other than within, as emotional states of being.

God. Is Life. Is All.
There is nothing that is not God.
It´s all inclusive. None exclusive.

It´s not male nor female.
Not external nor internal, in its placement,
None of these, and both, simultaneously.
Beyond duality. Beyond category.

Life´s Reach is not graspable to the human mind.
We do not have to understand, though, to know.
Or feel, that´s it´s real.

One calls it faith. But.
I feel that I know.
I don´t believe in God.
I know it Is.
True.
As I breathe it and live it
and die it
I am

Excistence is Godly.

Life. Love. Light.
Is where we belong.
Is what we are.

One Whole
sacred shining
Holy whole
All

I'm curious as to how you can say God is not male of female? Is this based upon your own experiences? Is it based upon research? Of the masters who have found God, have they not described Him as male? I have yet to hear of anyone who has found God and called Him “it”.

You have only described God's impersonal aspect here, but God isn't mindless and emotionless. Besides being infinite, God is also finite and personal. I find it strange that you have spoken of God so highly only to make the conclusion that God is an “it”. Even a dog isn't an “it”. How much less is God an “it”?

Dear Daniel

Thanks for your reply.
I don´t mean the label “it” to be belittling.
I say that God is neither male nor female, and at the same time, both of these.
God is male. God is also female.
God is all that mind can be, and more.
God is all emotions, and more emotions than we can imagine.

I am trying to say that God can not be categorized by the human brain.
Our brain works in dichotomies, pairs of opposites, as in male/female, up/down,
black/white, good/bad, either/or… God is beyond our brains´capacity.

The masters have spoken of God in many different ways. Not only as male.

There is nothing wrong with “it” !
We put our evaluation into words and give them colour.
“It” is fine!
“It” is just as good as “he” or “she”.
And a dog is also a she or a he.
And a dog is not less worthy to God than a human being.
A dog is also part of our Godly excistence.
In fact, dog is God! As All is God. You too are God, and me. All.

I speak from research and my own experience.
I speak from my heart´s inner knowing.

I speak for my (higher) Self, though. Every being is entitled to create her/his own faith.
Every “spiritual theory” is about the same “thing”.
It doesn´t matter what words we choose to talk about “it”…
God´s Love is unconditional. No judgment, no punishment. Love.

Heh heh heh… Not the easiest issue to explain, God, huh?
:-)

Walk in Peace, have a beautiful day;
Lene.

God is male. God is also female.

**Saying God is neither male or female, and both is a contradiction. Two opposing statements cannot be correct. God has His own personality, and that personality has been said to be male by all those who have genuinly met Him. Hindu Yogis, Jews, Prophet Muhammad, most notibly Jesus the foremost in power as far as devotees go. Even the Buddha who wasn't a prophet has addressed God as a being.**

The masters have spoken of God in many different ways. Not only as male.

**I'm unaware of these masters, who might they be?**

In fact, dog is God! As All is God. You too are God, and me. All.

**Please avoid saying I'm God, brother, that's disrespectful, speak for yourself. If you believe you are God, you should stick to making those claims for yourself. You are not God brother. God is infinite, all-powerful, all knowing. You are a tiny finite being. What you are saying is “a slice of pizza is a pizza pie,” and therefore doesn't work. Everything that has been created is an expression of God, because He is infinite, so everything of course must be made from Him. To say, “I am God,” and “I am an expression of God,” are two totally different statements. It's like you saying I am my familty rather than I am part of my family. Follow me?**

God´s Love is unconditional. No judgment, no punishment. Love.

**You speak about God's love, but I haven't seen you make any mention of belief in God yet. God has always been a male distinct being, who has created everything and judges right from wrong. Every being makes judgements, it is a necessity of life. God probably had to make many judgments just to create us, and even more judgments to create balance by instituting karma. Every being must be judgmental in order to maintain balance. Society has the justice system, and police to ensure that people have consequences, and even if you escape that there will always be the karma from what you did. You see, there must be judgments in order for God to be a just God. There is no conflict at all with God being unconditionally loving, and also unconditional in His justice.**

**By saying God is unconditinally loving, suggests that God is personal, or else there are no emotions. Only beings have emotions. There is no evolution of any kind, be it physical, or spiriual without an all-powerful Master-Mind to set that evolution into motion. Once we establish that there must be a God, then we can look for any evidence of Him, which is available everywhere. The male deity, God HimSelf who has been guiding us and communicating with us through His prophets for thousands of years. What messenger of God has ever come to the people to claiming that God is a women, or that God is an “it”. I have never heard of such a one. What master has met God and made claims like yours? I think we should avoid claims such as, “I'm talking from my higher self,” because that statement alone is really just conjecture. If anyone makes a philisophical statement it should be backed-up by the logic of it, not baseless claims of speaking from a higher self. If you haven't seen God for yourself, then you must rely on logic when deciding between philosophies. If speaking from the higher self was something that worked there wouldn't be such different opinions out there. It would be more correct to say, I feel that I am correct, rather than making claims of some super natural source of your knowledge, wouldn't you agree.**

In my opinion,
contradictions are fine.
Of course they are not logically “correct”,
but I see reality as being wider than logic.

Baseless claims…?
Define base!
Science?
Holy books?
“The authority says so”?

A key element in my last reply was this:
“Every being is free to create his/her own faith”.

I am not interested in being right in others´ eyes.
I know I am right. For me.
I never speak for anyone else but me.

I am also not interested in telling others they are wrong.
As that is not for me to know.
None of us know for sure. What happens when we die.
Yet our spiritual theories feel very true and real within each of our hearts.
Which is fine, it´s good. We can all be right.

If you want to believe in judgmental God, punishing the wrongdoers,
then that is your choice.
My choice is different. That does not mean I am less right than you.

In my head, I am free to believe what ever I want. So in my head, you are part of God,
whether you like it or not. And in your head, I am someone who… will be punished for my bad beliefs, maybe. Or something else. I don´t live inside your head, so I don´t know.
In your head I´m something that I might not agree with, but I accept your right to think what you want.

Separation is an illusion. I believe.
God is all. Hence, we are all God.
There is nothing that is not God.
God is all we know and all we do not know.
And here we go again.
Contradictions are poor tools for trying to grasp the vastness.
God is beyond words.

For me, faith is an inner knowing. Not an outer study.
The source is quite natural, not super natural. (or both and none of these).
Such is my view.
Your version is for you.

Peace.
L

Well, if your statement is that I'm part of God, I can then agree. Everything is a part of God because God is infinite and logically speaking all must be part of God or else He wouldn't be infinite. You see, this is perfectly logical, and everything about God must be logical.

Now the question is, should we believe in a personal God? There must be a God for any of this spiritual evolution to take place. Nothing is set into motion without a cause. This personal God that has a mind and intellect has been taught by the highest masters to be a male deity. So, when we speak of God's personal expression we say, God is a man, not a human, but a man. A man that the first human was paterned after.

What every individual believes to be true doesn't effect what is the Truth. Once we come to an agreement that there must be a certain objective reality all we need to do is decided how we will sytematicaly decide which beliefs are reasonable to accept. The only tool everyone can agree to without resorting to a totally emotional decision based upon individual likes and dislikes is logic. As the Qur'an says, the believers read all books and take the best. Again, the Qur'an says, “I have given you a mind and you are responsible to use it.”

What I am clarifying here is that God has a personal manifestation but stretching forth infinitely is God's impersonal aspect and we exist within and of God's impersonal aspect.

Seperation is quite real functionally speaking, but essentially everything is one as you have suggested and mysticism is precisely to realize this oneness. A personal God must be accepted in order for one to have the focused devotion necessary to reach enlightenment.

Everyone, including God makes judgments. Everyone believes it's wrong to hurt others and this is why God has instituted karma; to ensure that there is balance. It's not that He's punishing as you have suggested, it is just in order for justice to exist. It is only fair that those who do good should be rewarded and those who do evil should receive negative effects, but it shouldn't be called punishment because it's not something personal, it's an autonomous system, a balance.

Peace.
